Gustavo's path into professional audio started with a genuine passion for live music and a relentless curiosity about how sound works in a room. Over nearly a decade, that curiosity became expertise—earned through thousands of hours behind the console, on stages, in sanctuaries, and in permanent installation environments across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
He founded Zion Audioworks with a clear vision: build a production company that holds itself to the highest technical standard while remaining genuinely personal and responsive. Every client works directly with Gustavo — not a dispatcher, not a subcontracted crew. When you hire Zion Audioworks, you get the person who built the company.
Background & Experience
Nearly a Decade Across Every Format
Gustavo's audio career spans nearly a decade of hands-on experience across a genuinely diverse set of production environments. He's worked as a staff engineer for houses of worship, mixed monitors for regional touring acts, led AV production for large corporate events, and designed and installed permanent systems for facilities across the DMV.
That breadth isn't accidental — it reflects a deliberate commitment to developing competency across all aspects of professional audio rather than staying narrowly specialized. The result is an engineer who can look at any production challenge and bring both practical experience and informed judgment to bear.
When Gustavo founded Zion Audioworks, the goal was clear: build a production company that combines the technical capability of a large firm with the responsiveness, accountability, and personal investment of a single trusted professional. That remains the standard today.
